Max @ Swapshop hooked me up,
..c'est ce que je voulez (because they was pas cher.. )

MY02 Impreza WRX, JDM MY05 STI swap
4/2 pot calipers, new DBA4000's,(SS lines+Gulf racing 5.1..)
lines are properly bled+pads were bedded in..

verdict: enleve le mot "performance" de leur titre.

appart de apporter ton grandmere au eglise ou transporter du nitro glycerine,
..ceux pad sont carrement dangereux.

Are they that bad? Or they just don't have any initial bite? Is it the Dot 5.1 brake fluid that don't react positively when too cold outside (mushy feeling)?

Most of us are just too shy on the brake pedal

any brake fluid will be "less mushy" in the cold.

how long have you had the brake for ? Is bed in truly complete ?

I agree! (and disagree.)
Specifically with this weather and the ASS-tastic road conditions..
in the city/on public roads.. there are so many things to "bump".
finding the limit is not.. safe.

regardless,
I like to play.

..I can't wait for spring+summer

Kolia,
a very very short period, maybe 250KM on them..
is it early to jump to conclusions..mmmaybe.

[it says something about them being "scorched" at factory to decrease seating time.]

Ive done the procedure 3 times, I bled after first bed in attempt (5-6x 30-100-30kph hard stops)
then, did it twice in one day last sunday;
-no change after cool down of second attempt ( slightly more pedal travel)
3rd time was 7 accel-deccelerations, after cool down to standart temp only thing I notice is that I need to bleed lines again.

my rotors have a nice dark ~semi indigo ring where the pad meets rotor surface (this is transfered pad material + heat to my understanding)

..Im going to bleed my lines again (if my brother helps me..)
..then test them out again.

hopefully Im doing something wrong (problem is I dont think I am..)

appologise for jumping to conclusion,
Ill put a few hundred KM on them and update.

we'll, new pads with new rotors should bed in pretty quickly.

Some of the initial sponginess comes from the pads and rotors not touching perfectly. As pressure is applied, the pad will bend to match the rotor. That will make for a spony feel.

this is why they say to brake easy initially. We also need to do a bed in tho... Catch 21...

Drive easy on them for a week, do a new bed in after. Early bed in can cause hot spots.

the pads might still be crap... :)

will do,
they might be, ...sucks.. they had good reviews on NASIOC.
(..can't believe everything you read on the internets ..is what Andre has told me a couple of times!)

.. hot spots(or is it pad deposits?) are caused by improper cooling..?
