How to: changing rear diff oil
How to was created using a STi USDM 2004.
RECOMMENDED: GO take a 5 min ride with you car before doing this, so the oil will be a bit hot and will drain MUCH quicker.

Press down where the arrow points, and pull that clip towards you.

Remember these 2 holes :naughty:

Place your oil pan under the read diff. Take your 30 mm wrench and wrench counter-clockwise to remove the plug.

Filthy! Dirty plug!

After you removed the plug, you will see some oil drip.

Take the 1/2 torq bar and unscrew the DRAIN plug. Just break the plug loose.

Turn the torq wrench towards you (as if it was a big screwdriver) and turn it counter-clock wise to remove the DRAIN plug.

Let the oil drip for a good 5 min. Ernest sayz: EWWWWWWWWWWWW! LOOK AT TEH OIL COLORRRRRRR!

You can inspect your DRAIN plug while the oil drains. It's actually a magnet that collects little metal shavings. Clean it up!

Clean both the hole up with a towel.

Put some thread scellant on the DRAIN plug. Not too too much.

I torq'ed it to 36 ft-lb (torq spec for both plugs actually). Now FILL the rear diff with your new MOTUL oil.
Fill it till some oil starts coming out.
Put some thread scellant on the FILL plug and put the FILL plug back in.

You are DONE!
