This is Luca one of the owners of Sticky Grafix and I just want to tell you all that we (I) just baught a 2002 wrx for the store. WHAT A GREAT FRICKEN CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now i know why you guys love Subaru. The car is only five days old and we alrewady have an AEM cold air intake in it and soon there will be a very long list of modifications. I hope to hear from you all on what our next modification should be!
I would love to try the car on the track with you guys, where do you go?
I do have some questions for you guys. You probaby know more than me for this car. If you have anf Honda questions I will be more than happy to answere them!
I heard the trany on the car is kind of fragile, is this true?
How much HP can it handle?
My next mods will probably be a front mount int.Cooler and a turbo/back exhaust, would you guys recomend that?
For the track, This summer, we are going to St-Felicien (5 hours from here), we are renting the autodrome for 4 days.. (2 comple days of track) other 2 days, its to set up our things for camping and all.. Cost 60$ for members of the club.. (for the moment all place are full, but the limit time to pay for people that are register now, its March 1st, so, I should get couple of place available at that time.. You have to be a member of the club to be able to come at those events.. I should rent some other track this summer also.. (Sanair, St-Eustache, .. ???)
For the tranny, if you do a search on the forum, you will find many topic talking about them.. Depends really on the people.. But , I will say that I saw many WRX (specialy in the US) running in the 12 and 13, and they run great.. Over here, I saw some modified WRX without problem.. For sure if you launch at 7000rpm each time , you got some chance that your first gear pop out of is place, and strip at the same time..
For the mods.. if you good and fast HP .. Go with Venturi pipe (uppipe), Downpipe, Complete exhaust, Unichip , ( dyno test at app. 280hps)..
you can also send your turbo to be retrim for a damm good price (compare to change it for a new one), and that will send you to more hps.. but from there, you probably need more fuel.. so STi injectors, ...
I know that probably the budjet is not a big issues here.. but depends what hps you have in mind..
