Je commence à planifier notre rencontre annuel des 3 clubs de Subaru (Toronto, Montréal et Ottawa) à Kingston, Ontario (http://www.city.kingston.on.ca/" oncli ... n false;).


Kingston est un bon endroit pour les 3 clubs car c'est un point central pour les 3 villes et réduit le trajet pour tout le monde... Je pense que c'est environ 2-3 heures de routes pour les 3 clubs...

Date pour la rencontre: 17-18 aout, 2002.

Pour des événements, nous avons quelques idées....

Nous pouvons louée la track de Shannonville (Nelson) (http://www.shannonville.com" onclick=" ... rn false;)pour 2 ou 3 heures dans la soirée de Samedi (5:30pm à 8:30pm). Le cout serait environ $40-50 par participant si nous avons 20 participants.

Aussi, nous avons un rally TSD déjà noté. Il est environ 170kms de distance. On l'a fait l'ans passé mais on a pas fait l'événement encore... Le cout serait environ $20 par équipe (si on a 10 équipe)... Il faut payer l'assurance de ASN Canada car cette année, les rallys TSD n'est pas covert sous la police principale....

Ces 2 événements, nous pensions de les avoirs au Samedi. Pour le dimanche, nous avons la possibilitée de participé à un solo2.

J'y parlais avec un exec du club St-Lawrence et il aura un solo2 le 18 aout à l'aéropart de Picton, Ontario. Le cout si je me rappele est de $25 par compétiteur....

Picton est à l'ouest de Kingston.... environ 80kms.....

On aimerai avoir une fin de semaine de Subaru et si les gens s'interesse, je pourrai poster des addresse d'hotel, bed and breakfast ou des site de campings..... surtout qu'on fait la rencontre pendant l'été.....

D'autres informations seront postés mais ce premier email est pour voir si il y a assez d'intérêt entre les 3 clubs......

Pour la journée de Samedi, nous avons quelques possibilité aussi...... Nous pouvons se rencontrez encore à RAXX Billards and Bar comme les années précendantes ou de rencontrer à un parc publique de Kingston (qu'on peut louer et reserver)..... et les gens pourront faire un pic-nic et jouer à balle, soccer etc......

PS.... Pour Shannonville, on aura pas le choix d'y attendre longtemps car si on reserve, on doit mettre un dépot de 50%......

Ok...... c'est définitivement le 24-25...... Il y a un rally régional près de Peterborough mais le tri-club meet s'y fera....

Je postera plus d'information pour la fin de semaine...... Je n'ai pas encore la confirmation du club de St-Lawrence à prepos du Solo2 mais j'attends encore.....

On pourrait faire un TSD en place pour le dimanche car on en mapper un l'an passer de 160-170kms..... Tout dépends....

Pour camping, il y a un site juste en dehors de Kingston.... le cout est de $17-20 taxes inclus (sans et avec electricité)..... pour 2 personne/ 1 tente et 1 char sur chaque lot....

Rich (VIII) de l'équipe Subaru Canada va amené le char de rally de Tom McGeer pour l'événement.......

J'y pense de louer un parc à Kingston pour faire notre show and shine competition et rencontre..... On pourrait faire un pic nic et jouer des sports pendant la journee..... de samedi..... Si il pleut, le site alternative serait le RAXX (pool hall qu'on a été l'an passee)....

Je vais travailler sur le meet cette fin de semaine..... si vous avez des commentaires, suggestion, ou meme question, poster-les....

The Tri-club meet is going to be the 24-25th.....

The St-Lawrence club is sending in the papers to have the insurance for the 25th for a solo2 competition...... They have an 85% of yes they can use the Picton Airfield manager to use their faciliies....

I'll create an official website on the http://www.ottawasubaru.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and to have everything posted..... details, dates, timing, etc....

For the Solo2, I'll create something where people could prefill their info..... to help out pre-scrutenering....

Are you planning on going? Here's the final details......

For the 24-25th weekend..... I have been trying to reserve a park area for the club meet but that portion of the event is cancelled.....

I've talked to RAXX Bar & Billards (see map below) and they were our rain location. Now, it's official, we'll be meeting at the RAXX location for the Tri-club meet. I've talked to the Stephanie (manager) and she said they'd have 3 servers there for us but she did ask to be patient. Last year, the service was slow but they were short staffed. On the evening, most of their staff will be working for a big BBQ party they have starting around 6pm and on......

The outdoor activities will be cut downed unless we can find a park close by but it's something that we could decide at the lot itself.
For Saturday:
The plan is to have everyone meet up around 12pm to 1pm at RAXX.......

This way we can enjoy a full day in Kingston (for those who plan on only staying for the day).....

For Sunday, there's a Solo2 event going on in Picton, Ontario held by the St-Lawrence club. The cost is $25 or $30 including food. Rob (from the St-Lac club) needs to confirm which will be availalbe.

From Kingston, it should take about 45 minutes. From Kingston, it's best to take the 401 West and then the HWY 49 south at Marysville....

For the SOLO2 event, it's probably best to show up around 8:30-9am...... since they will need to inspect your cars, etc....

Also, you will need your own helmet (Snell M95 or SA95 or higher)..... unless you're sharing with somebody else. The club doesn't have any rental helmets.

What's going on in Kingston........

During the weekend of the 24-25th, for those planning on staying for the night, there's plenty of things going on.......

There's the annual Blues Festival (http://www.kingstonblues.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;). Cost is $7.

Fort Henry (http://www.forthenry.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) has the Historic Trades Day (Saturday August 24, 2002, 10 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.). You can tour the fort at 4pm.......
