Help & Warning - We have been defrauded

[Touge Tuning]

Hey everyone, I am posting this today in hopes that maybe we can get some assistance in tracking down some people that have defrauded us recently. In the 10 years Touge Tuning has been around we have never had any issues with fraud. However with our growth and also the increase in the Subaru community size we have seen a string of successful and unsuccessful attempts at purchasing products from us with stolen credit card information. The great thing is that we have these people's addresses however the system for going after these people seems to be complicated and over-complicated. So below is the information and I hope other vendors can avoid this situation and also maybe some in the community know how we could possibly recover the goods or report these people to the authorities and actually have something done about it.

You have to be careful, maybe the address was just a drop point where the real fraudster knew the guy was away and got there to pick the package.

It`s pretty dumb to give your real address on a website when ordering with a stolen credit card

It is very hard to have support from the police or anything legal with this kind of fraud when it happens in two different contries or provinces.

He is just trying to get some help from the community. What is it hard to understand?

Maybe its a bit touchy to post personnal address on a public forum but when nothing else work....

Touge you are exposing yourself to civil action by publishing those and asking for people to "do something".

it's just the information he's been defrauded with nothing else. Probably part of the information is accurate .... this type of fraud is not done by the smartest people on earth.

My bother got his identify stolen and got a call from a credit card company because he had bought stuff in a home depot in Ontario. The guy was stupid enough to place a special order there and wait to get it delivered by the police . He could just have walked out with something .... but he taught he would outrun the system I guess

It's even worst if those names and addresses are those of victims of ID theft !

Seriously, there are ways to deal with those situations. And this is not it.
