20mm Spacers rear only?

Hey guys,
I have two sets of 20mm spacers on my 09 STI, subaru said that there was a leak on the power steering and cause of the spacers they won't warranty it if it breaks again (they fixed it under warranty thank god)

so my question is, what would happen if i put the 20mm spacers in the rear only?

you're telling me subaru wont warranty a ps rack if i have a lower offset wheel than stock?

Yeah just like any other dealer they always look for ways to get out of the warranty.... I have no choice but to sell them in case it breaks again

Ask them for proof that the spacers caused the problem.. if they cannot provide it .. then its there problem. They are not allowed to cancel a warranty on your suspension because you put a short throw shifter...

Yeah even in the report from the mechanic it said " could be cause of accident" … last winter i slide into a ditch and it hit the right mag which got damaged and ripped my side skirt off.. maybe it was the impact from that accident and not the spacers??

has anyone else heard of 20mm spacers breaking a steering rack and pinion or causing a leak?

I've heard of spacers causing premature wear on the bearings, or actually bending the studs but never to the power steering, it's like them blaming aftermarket wheels with a bigger offset as the cause of power steering failure?!?

Yeah I know its crazy... I sold them finally and got RCE Yellow springs instead for the look / Drive.
Car is much more "tight" now!
