nouveau au Québec

I don't know much french yet though. I used google translator to make the title :P

So like it says I'm new to Quebec. Posted here this past week to Valcartier.
Still don't have a place to stay or know anybody to hang out with.

I thought making Subaru friends would be a good place to start though.

If anybody has advice(other than "learn french") or can spare some time to meet up and help me get comfortable in my new home province, I'd greatly appreciate it.

YAH! lol

Awesome, when would that be possible?

I've been sitting in my hotel room almost all weekend and randomly going for drives to look around the city. Loving all the snow :)

Posted here, usually means the army right? Well thats nice!
First off, welcome in winter's wonderland!
Every Friday we have a subie meet close to the Bifteck restaurant on wilfrid-hamel street. I dont have the exact adress though, we meet there around 9h-9h30.
So before everyone else asks, we want PICS! Oh and btw ''nouvelle'' means new for a woman, is that your case?
Anyways, you'll see, the weather is perfect today for subaru owners!
Depending on what you like, and your age, you'll have tons of fun stuff to do and nice people to meet!
French isnt all that of a big issue, but you'll soon notice that people dont fluently speak english around here.
Anyways, on fridays we usually go drifting around in some industrial neighborhoods, where cops and other citizens are rare
I'm thinking about maybe hooking up with a few subie owners to go drifting around tonight, could be fun. What do you think?

I think I'd LOVE to get some drifting in tonight, couldn't find any places last night.

No I'm not a female, is nouveau the better word?

I'm actually Air Force to be specific :P

as for pics, what is a good image hosting site? I have a lot of facebook but I don't want to add everyone to that :P

I'll get pics up by the end of the day and post the link on my profile.

Okay so I'm an ED Tech or Electrician pretty much.
I'm "Air Force" technically but the trade can be either Army or Air Force. I'm here in Valcartier for my apprenticeship package.

I drive a 2006 black WRX sedan. No huge modifications. I have a downpipe that needs to be installed and then I plan on getting it tuned. I'd like to get Lachute to do both but the e-mail I sent them did not get a response.

I'm from Halifax area, Lived there all my life until last week. Like to do RallyX and took a driving school last summer at a track in N.S. Have not had a chance to do much more.

Was in the reserves for 3 1/2 years then moved to reg force sept 2009. Did my 3's course in Gagetown and now I'm in the wonderful province of Quebec!
