Alright I am pretty noob here so...

why do you need an ECU tune when you are changing your catback? the noob I am apply the logic that you need to tune the ECU when you apply any changes that affect the engine right? but the catback is way at the end of the exhaust line.... so my ECU shouldnt notice any changes since it completly at the end......

You don't have to tune your ECU just for a catback. If you would be changing your downpipe, uppipe or air intake, you would have to, but not a catback.

Where did you get that info from?

I was asking a ''shop'' ....I won't mention any... it they told me it's possible but it may cause overboost....

They are right.
You cannot run a 2008+ 2.5L turbo engine with an aftermarket catback without macking some change into the ecu.

You will have boost creep probleme and maybe engine failure.
