Thanks I'm very excited about this car.kirch a écrit :Nice shopping list you've got there! Not too sure about the side windows deflector though...
Also, I wouldn't tune the car after only 2k. If I were you, I would change the oil at 2k, another time at 5-6k. Enjoy the ride as is for another 1-2k and then tune it! That way, you would remove all the crap in the oil, make sure none of this crap gets in the engine and that the break in is done properly.
Read up about all those wrx265 engines that blew up before 6000k.
Better be safe then sorry
I’ve been on the wall about the windows deflectors as well. Believe it or not this is the first car I find they really look good on. I find they give it something. Anyway, no biggy. If I don't like them later Ill just ditch them.
I’ve read and seen videos on youtube about the 265 problems and I think your absolutely right about waiting to hit 6k just to be safe. I`m going to take your advice here. It won`t take that much time anyway and it will give me some extra time to get to know my car better.
Cheers
I`m 100% sure I want more power. I drove the car twice. Both times beating the daylights out of it and wished it had more power BOTH times. LOL I'm a speed junky!kamuro a écrit :Yeah ! Anyway, it's nice that your beginning with the handling upgrades.
You're gonna have time to see how you like the car and if you need more power or not.

Update:
I got my car on Thursday and Ive already racked up 600km! Ill give my driving impressions when the 1600km break in is done. For now all I can say is, I'm in love with my car! No point in putting up pictures of a stock car so here are two just to prove Ive got it.LOL! Ill post some full car pics once I get the front lip installed.
Cheers!

Hello everyone, sorry for taking so long to update. I’ve been to busy driving!
1800km...Pictures will come soon I promise. I’m just waiting for some nice weather and to be able to get my car into my garage to clean it (Ill explain soon).
So, the car is broken in. I have moded the suspension and kicked the crap out of it. First, I’ll be removing the lowering springs I installed as of tomorrow. (The reason) My garage is on an uphill and I can’t get the car in or out without scraping the crap out of my Vlimited lip. So I really have no choice. Also, I get a thumping/knocking noise when I take hard right turns ever since I lowered it. Ill have that checked tomorrow as well.
The rattles in this car are just unbelievable they come from every ware! I kind of expected them, just not this bad. One that is really driving me CRAZY is a plastic tapping rattle from the driver side “A pillar”. I find myself driving around with my thumb pressed on it just to stop the noise! It’s driving me NUTS!!! I’m at the point where I’m thinking of removing the air bag and installing gauges there.
Brakes. The car stops on a dime! But, I have got quite a few weird noises when coming to a slow stop from about 15kmh to 0. Some people seem to think it’s because of break dust build up. I think it’s the shitty pads. I’ll be changing them if it persists. I also get the train stopping noise when breaking in reverse.
As far as power, the car needs more power in the higher rev band, but over all is not bad. That will be an easy fix!
Over all, the car has a lot of little quarks and has by FAR the most “little” problems I have ever had on a new car. At the same time I have never loved a car more...Kind of hard to explain... I guess it’s what makes a Subaru a Subaru...

Do yourself a favor (the car as well) change the oil before kicking the crap ou t of it. I would wait a bit more before flooring it but hey... you're the owner! At least change the oil asap
I would get rid if the lip before the lowering springs though. Anyway you won't be using it more than 7 months/year unless you don't care to use it as a snow plow on the highway

Oil change was done, and I also added magnets to my oil filter. I'm actually really happy with my decision to remove the springs. Allot of the rattles I had in the car also went away with the springs. The cars handling still feels really nice because of all the other work I did on the suspension.kirch a écrit :Do yourself a favor (the car as well) change the oil before kicking the crap ou t of it. Update:
I removed my springs and programmed my car on Ecuteck. The only mod out there that can make this much of a difference on an engine would be an engine swap! The car finally feels like what it should have out of the dealer. No more jerky feeling past 4k RPM. It's just a nice brutal yet smooth acceleration all the way to 6k! I LOVE THIS CAR!
First oil change done.

`My car now has 321hp and 322lbftq on the Lachute dyno.(if I remember correctly)

Bref il09sti, you make the right choice with Lachute performance.
Mon STI va aussi passer dans leurs ateliers pour que je puisse enfin apprécier le STI à ça juste valeur.
