look at last post........
How many km did you drive with the DBA4000 before swithching to the 5000 series?il09sti a écrit : Well...It was a noise that was coming from the pads touching what I think was the little wiper on the disk. The noise that it made was a little like putting a baseball car on spokes. Did you ever do that to your bike as a kid? Anyway, problem solved no more noise. I kept the same pads.
I'm in! Let me know when your going and if I'm not working ill be there. As for Tremblant, you cant even imagine how bad I want to go!.2pat a écrit :you have to take it to the 1/4mile with me some day. as well as Tremblant. it;'s a shame to use up those brakes on the street!
what pads did you put on? Ferodo? I'm looking into the dba5K with DS2500 up front and DS3000 in the rear. my pads are finished after this season...
How's that Lachute alarm holding out for ya?
I did about 350-400 max?Turf Man a écrit :How many km did you drive with the DBA4000 before swithching to the 5000 series?il09sti a écrit : Well...It was a noise that was coming from the pads touching what I think was the little wiper on the disk. I'm having DBA4000+Hawk installed next tuesday and I was wondering what is the pad's acceptable wear tolerance (without having to change those too) to change the rotors in case I enconter the same problem as you did.il09sti a écrit : I did about 350-400 max?
hehe, i met you there when i was getting my stg 2 installed. black STi. i was watching as ur motor was going up and down the revrange, and you couldn't dyno.il09sti a écrit : How on earth do you know about the Lachute alarm? I didn't mention it any ware in my thread...Anyway, It's VERY cool! probably the most hi-tech alarm on the market right now.

"whored out" LOL BIG TIME!!CottageCheese a écrit :Hey il09, havnt seen you in a while!
My cars been in the shop for a while.. a few bugs with my new turbo setup but im finally rotated like i was always dreaming about!
went with a power enterprise rx60 kit .82 ar housing.. "p22" they say its between a gt30-gt35..
The thing is HUUUGEEE, only thing is my motor is tired.. 120 compression pretty much all around. And i cant boost enough on the stock internals to make any impresive numbers.. 385 upfront 310 to the wheels.
Im doing a darton sleeved + forged internals for this winter with an 8,000rpm balance.. should also do equal lenght headers and methanol injection,
For now the car pulls pretty good but boosting so low on such a huge turbo costs me tons of lag.. fullboost at around 5,000 ( also doesnt help that my compression isnt 100%)
I'll be running the car as is for now, then storing her for the winter.. The engine will be taken out and be hitting the gym very hard for the 6 months shes off.. haha
looking forward to seeing you again! much more to talk about now that our cars are all "whored out"
A+

Very COOL take a look at www.protection-plus.ca and talk to Julien there are allot of stuff on my alarm that the web site doesn't talk about.Turf Man a écrit :I'm having DBA4000+Hawk installed next tuesday and I was wondering what is the pad's acceptable wear tolerance (without having to change those too) to change the rotors in case I enconter the same problem as you did.il09sti a écrit : I did about 350-400 max?
