They can either trap you via radar or by following you with their car. So yes its "valid" and I don't think you'd win in court. Sorry :(

He didn't bug you about your exhaust ? or window's tint ?

DBA front rotors, SS break lines, performance break oil, Hawk break pads, AEM cold Air intake, and re-programmed!
Until Julien answers the previous question here's 3 about your brake set-up:

Wich DBA series and Hawk pads did you put on?

What criteria had you in mind when you choose these? (track, street, winter, durability...)

How does the whole new front set-up feels compare to the stock one?

I have to change my rotors and pads in the upcoming weeks...

il09sti asked for something aggresive for everyday driving no racetrack use + winter driving + durability. He wanted something with more feel and more efficiency.

We decided to go with :

DBA 4000 rotors Slotted
Hawk Hps
Goodridge brake lines

Nop! He didn't even comment on my muffler! and I don't have tints. I paid for the ticket today so that's that.

Spoke to Julien about the "RPM" thing and here is basically what he told me. We could bring it up to about 8.5k but he didn't really recommend it. That's it in a nutshell.

If Julien would like to elaborate as to why, that would be great!

Here are some IPhone pics

You mean with your actual set-up, the redline (or gas cut off?) could be put at 8,5k or do you mean that you have to change the heads to do this?

(Nice pics by the way. Suggestion: Use the iPhone to put a video on youtube and let us hear it sing...)

I got the wing. Should be going on very soon!!! By the way congats on the brakes! I heard you got them done at Lachute. I actually just replaced the 4000 rotors for the 5000 series. I had some very weird problems with the 4000. It was the first time the guys at Lachute had seen that. Anyway, it's all good now.

By the way, where were you today? I was looking forward to seeing you at the Lachute meet.

Nice.. what more can I say! Nice wing you just bought, your car is just getting more and more INSANE. Keep up the great work on this car.

So what's next? Performance wise your quite there. Braking system seems to be done unless you're not satisfied with your actual setup with the dba5k. Suspension? Maybe an H-brace ? Front mount?

BTW, if you want to get rid of your oem sti wing, im sure there's a bounch of guys here with 08 wrx that would get it from you.

Too bad I couldnt made it yesterday at the lachute's bbq, I would love to see that car in person and snap a couple of pictures of it!

What kind of very weird problems? You kept the Hawk pads?

Lachute is a 2h30min ride (according to google maps) for me... :(

I find the WRC mirror set (link in post #1) damn nice but I wonder if it has the defrost and electric adjustment.

I'm VERY satisfied with my brakes right now. H brace was one of the first mods I did and like I said in earlier posts I'm sticking with the top mount. I'm not sure if I'm going to ditch the stock one but I'm deff looking into it.

I wish I could have meet you too bro! I don't think I spoke to anyone that Ive really chatted with online. I did meet Mike Moffa...Nice guy!

I won't be placing my stock wing for sale until I'm 100% sure I like the way my car looks with the new wing.

Well...It was a noise that was coming from the pads touching what I think was the little wiper on the disk. The noise that it made was a little like putting a baseball car on spokes. Did you ever do that to your bike as a kid? Anyway, problem solved no more noise. I kept the same pads.

thanks for the link. Ill take a look at it now.

ok, I just took a look at the link. 8O 8O 8O 8O I love the Cooling Bonnet (Hood), Carbon. side skirts and front spoiler...ohhh no........
